When your fabric arrives at our facility, our expert inspectors examine each piece of fabric and assess the condition. We then measure and tag each individual piece with a water/chemical proof ticket to ensure that items are not misplaced. Any necessary repairs that we notice are indicated on the paperwork so we may inform you of what services we recommend. Next, to avoid damaging your fabrics, we choose an appropriate storage location, and either fold, roll, or hang the items that await cleaning.
Your fabric is then cleaned, not with brute force or harsh chemicals, but by hand. We do not offer machine washing; we know that washing industrial fabrics by hand is the best method for fabric longevity and appearance. The proper product and solution of our environmentally friendly APCO cleaners is chosen. Our years of experience enable us to match our cleaning method and products with the particular needs of the fabric. Too little agitation or too weak a solution will leave your fabric looking dingy, but too much agitation or too strong a solution will render the fabric lifeless.
Once your fabric is thoroughly cleaned, it is gently hung and air-dried. Once again, we carefully select the right APCO protector, avoiding products that would prematurely degrade the appearance of your fabric by attracting dust and dirt. We apply the protective treatment to the fabric to make it water repellent and to inhibit damage from mold, mildew, and the sun's harmful UV rays. Once treated, your fabric is again air-dried; if applicable, we polish any clear windows to remove water spots and help make surface scratches less noticeable.
Lastly, we carefully fold, roll or hang your items, wrap them in paper to keep them clean, and store or return them to you for your enjoyment.
